your needs - our software
If you've read any of the homepage, you'll already know that our company philosophy is a little different to most.
Firstly, we believe in creating quality software that works the way you want it to. We think the lest way to ensure that is by having you be involved in its creation - we're not interested in making software for everyone, just you.
Secondly, we want our software to run on the three major computer operating systems; Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS and Linux. Not only that, but we want the system to be able to talk to its other versions so you can run it on any or all of those operating systems and it'll just work.
Lastly, we realise that even with the best will and the most dilligant coding and testing processes in the world, from time to time you might need some support. We have technology in place that allows us to support you, no matter where we are. Also, we know we'll be able to help you because we wrote it.
Meet the Team!
Martyn Armitage - Mac Development
Martyn has been involved in computing and electronics for nearly 30 years. As well as building components and computers, he has constructed commercial software in multiple languages on multiple platforms.
He has worked in many business sectors including telecoms, graphic design, education and retail.
Frustrated by corporate bureaucracy, and intrigued by the advancements in programming platforms, Martyn and Steve formed Armitage & Roper Business Software Ltd with a mandate to create products tailored for the Small to Medium sized business that would nevertheless provide big business functionality.
ServicePoint is their latest project: a new "best of breed" Point of Sale software, utilising multiple platforms and the full power of the world wide web aimed at being scalable from the corner-shop to the High Street.
In his spare time, Martyn plays the guitar, tours the countryside and enjoys being a "youngish" grandfather.

Steve has been involved in information technology for over 20 years, in a number of roles including database administration, application design, testing and website development.
He has worked in many business sectors including public transport, retail, automotive, utilities, marketing and local and national government.
In his spare time, Steve develops applications, builds databases and listens to music that lots of other people don't like or have never heard of. He is aware of the concept of the work/life balance but has yet to get to grips with the concept.
Justin Armitage - Linux Development
In his spare time, Justin likes to develop applications, hack wifi & bluetooth enabled devices, downloads pirated applications and drinks lots of beer.
He hopes to combine these interests a create a device that will wirelessly order alcohol from the off-licence without him having to pay for it.
His wife wishes he would develop an application that would keep the garden tidy and tile the bathroom in his absence as well as realise that all computers do, in fact, come with an off switch.
