we make world class retail software...
Point of Sale software, or pos... If you're in retail, you'll already be using some. If you're setting up in retail, you'll need some.
The problem with a lot of existing retail pos software is that it's designed by programmers who, while great at what they do, might not understand exactly what you need your software to do.
and we want you to help.
Here at ServicePoint we think that ought to change, so we're asking you to get involved. After all, you're going to be the ones using it every day, so it ought to work the way you want it to right? ServicePoint is being developed as a new type of Point of Service application - designed in part by you and built by us.
Our aims are simple:
- We want to have core functionality that can be extended and tailored to each customer's needs.
- We want it to have the feature set you need - and no more.
- We won't throw in features just because they are cool or cutting edge, because another customer needs them, or worst of all - because we wanted to show off what we can do.
- We want to build software that works so well, you hardly know you're using it.
ServicePoint is being developed on three operating systems:
With three modules:
- Head Office - For people who use the software for booking on stock, creating orders, reporting and other management
- Back Office - Responsible for maintaining in store stock levels and passing stock data back to Head Office.
- Point of Service - A tillpoint module for transactions.
All three versions are being developed to work seamlessly together in any combination:
Giving you true cross-platform capability. We think that's something of a first - You could have your IT guy on a Linux machine using it alongside your graphics department on Apple Macs and the till point on Microsoft Windows and they would all work together - we think that could be handy.
We want your feedback, suggestions, contributions and thoughts, so we have set up a forum for you to do just that - get involved and make your voice heard!
